    Your Complete 200-Hour YTT Guide

A 200-hour yoga teacher training is the foundational certification for aspiring yoga teachers. But what exactly happens during those 200 hours?

    Daily Schedule

Most residential trainings follow a similar structure:

    • 6:00 AM - Morning meditation and pranayama

    • 7:00 AM - Asana practice (2 hours)

    • 9:00 AM - Breakfast break

    • 10:30 AM - Anatomy or philosophy lecture

    • 12:30 PM - Lunch and rest

    • 3:00 PM - Teaching methodology and practice

    • 5:00 PM - Evening asana or restorative practice

    • 7:00 PM - Dinner

    Core Curriculum

    Asana (Physical Postures)

You'll learn proper alignment, modifications, adjustments, and sequencing for 50+ poses across all categories – standing, seated, twists, backbends, inversions, and more.

    Anatomy & Physiology

Understanding the body is crucial for safe teaching. Expect to learn about muscles, joints, the spine, and common injuries.

    Philosophy & History

Dive into yoga sutras, the eight limbs of yoga, chakras, and the rich history of this ancient practice.

    Teaching Methodology

Learn how to cue, demonstrate, observe students, create sequences, and manage a class environment.

    Assessments

    Most programs include:

    • Written exams on anatomy and philosophy

    • Practical teaching assessments

    • Final teach-back sessions

    The Transformation

Beyond the curriculum, expect personal transformation. Many students experience emotional releases, changed perspectives, and a deeper connection to themselves.

200 hours is just the beginning. Your real education starts when you begin teaching.
